Style Edit, Part I
19 looks styled with pieces in my wardrobe - making use of everything I own & love
Greetings from me wearing the most ‘ME’ look at the moment, thanks to a current effort to catalog every piece in my wardrobe and having fun creating looks with them.
For this week’s edit, I’m sharing the 19 looks falling under 11 topics below, created in the form of a mood board. Without further ado, let’s get started:
A rundown of the looks included in this edit:
Everyday Glitter
Lunar New Year
Pop of Red
Navy Blue Forever
Ruffle
Poppy
Running for Errands
Crochet
Office
Mood for Pink
Egg Yolk
1. Everyday Glitter
Black and white/denim to have the jacket itself stand out. Simple accessories will do. And did I mention that the denim flat has silver heels to match the jacket’s subtle silver sequin; and that I’m always a strong advocate for high-top Converse?

2. Lunar New Year
It all starts with a red sweater: I find that any classic color combination - be it red and blue, pink and brown - as long as one color is vibrant and the other in a much lighter shade - usually creates a much more interesting look compared to if both being mid-tone colors.
3. Pop of Red
Speaking of pop of color and accessorizing - the little drama works most effectively when everything else is as simple as black, white, and gray.

4. Navy Blue Forever
My uniform, paying ode to the 2 colors in my life if I’m ever allowed to pick: cream and navy. If more are allowed: red, gold, and gray. Top it off with a denim newsboy cap.
5. Ruffle
Ruffle always adds a touch of romance to any outfit - and I want it to lead the show this time. Keep the jacket’s neckline simple as nothing should steal the thunder from the ever-so-slightly ruffled collar. Stripe - always a good option. Brown and blue - even better. Lastly, add a touch of gold to lift the look.
6. Poppy
Usually not a big fan of bold stripes but this one is an exception - maybe the sheerness makes a difference? To make it more fun, add a matching pop of red and simplify everything else.

7. Running for Errands
A fairly consistent color palette - cream, blue, and black. Sneaker and tote for the ultimate comfort for running errands - grocery shopping, buying flowers, picking up a prescription at the pharmacy. Always open to carrying a glitter bag on top of a New Yorker tote.

8. Crochet
Obsessed with this crochet vest, having fun by pairing it with anything in the same color family - khaki, yellow, and brown. Gold is a must.

9. Office
My go-to office look - blazers, shirts, coats, and loafers. Denim jeans are strictly for Fridays. Happy to add a pop of orange or red, but make it subtle - accessorize.

10. Mood for Pink
No rule here but my gut (twice!) has opted for pink and brown. For accessories - either add a sparkle; or move along with the same color family - coral is a current favorite. Probably will experiment with pink and gray next time.

11. Egg Yolk
A take on the bright sunset orange which reminds me of the yolk color of salted duck eggs, my hometown specialty. Pair this richness with a skirt or a pair of corduroy pants, lighter shades of course to tone down the intensity.
